This Peppercorn tree has an extensive root system and is very close to the home, and therefore water and sewerage pipes. It is also very old and is losing its foliage, a sure sign it is on the way out. Far better to remove the trees before an accident occurs, so it was not difficult to get permission from Ryde Council to remove this tree. You should always get council approval before engaging an arborist to remove or lop a tree.
